The first year on our new Tempur Pedic Adapt Medium was great. Soft yet firm, with support everywhere you need it. Just like I remember from the Tempur Pedics that I slept on for years throughout high school and again after college. But almost to the day one year later, I started noticing neck pain when I woke up. It wouldn't go away, and started getting worse. I got the Tempur Pedic neck pillow, which did help a bit, and my wife says it reduced my snoring.
But the neck pain never went away, with some days worse that others. After a few more months, my wife started having trouble sleeping because of back pain. Then I started getting back pain when lying on my back. We realized the areas where we sleep had gone completely soft, yet the sag in the top layer did not meet the company's warranty standards - as determined from the photos that they told me to take and send in. But this issue is not visible from the outside; it is a failure of the foam cells throughout the midlayers of the mattress.
I can feel it by shifting to the center of the bed where neither of our bodies lie while sleeping. It feels like a ridge that you can balance on, like a thin sliver of support. But because of the properties of memory foam, there is no way to evaluate this without lying down on it. The mattress retains it's level form even as the interior foam completely breaks down.
The company makes an effort to brand themselves as 'high end' and charge a fortune for their products. But just like their beds, the support from Tempur Pedic's customer service team is also severely lacking. It is very impersonal and you feel somewhat betrayed after getting completely shut down without a fair analysis. I am very disappointed with the way this company has become after being a previously happy customer. I used to recommend the beds anytime the subject came up, but I will never again. The product has gotten worse instead of better, and their service is abysmal.

This is the first Tempur-Pedic mattress I have owned. It is extremely comfortable! I have experienced back pain in the past and that is gone! I am very happy with my purchase!

I am a side sleeper and have had problems with my neck and shoulders. I've tried other brands of mattresses and still had soreness. This mattress is perfect! It feels as if it cradles my body perfectly and I haven't had such a sound sleep in years.

We bought a king sized Adapt mattress in 2022. It developed an indention that caused me to roll off the bed while sleeping. We filed a warranty claim and went through all the requirements to get a settlement. When we got a final answer, Tempurpedic only offered us only a 50% credit on a new mattress. This is completely unacceptable because we cannot sleep on the mattress and their so called 10 year warranty if just false advertising. Don't by their mattresses because they are sub standard and do not do for what they are advertised.

We have one Tempur-Adapt at our daughter's house where we visit often, we loved it so much we bought another for our home. The comfort is firm but supportive, the mattresses light and easy to make the bed. We both feel we get a goodnights sleep.
